This villa/residential development has familiar features resembling a swanky place in Monaco, Capri, or Greece. But it beats the long-haul flight to Europe. Not only are you reserving a luxe US stayover, in my case, in building 1, but your tucked-away island hideaway includes a complimentary golf cart rental, giving you an open ticket to explore this charming island off the coast of SOCAL. The rooms are furnished in coastal chic with state-of-the-art amenities. The balcony is divine. The location is prime. It’s ideal for folks who don’t mind giving their FITBIT a workout (over 100 steps to ascend from your golf cart parking).

Living space
The interior carries real character - mahogany hand-scraped hardwood floors run underfoot, while imported 15th-century reclaimed limestone from Corsica adds a depth of craftsmanship rarely found in a vacation rental. The open-concept living area is bright and relaxed, with Smart TVs equipped with Alexa voice control for evenings in and ceiling fans to keep the coastal air moving through the space.

Sleeping arrangements
The bedroom is fitted with a Cariloha king mattress and quality linens, designed for genuine rest. A king-sized sofa sleeper in the living area comfortably accommodates additional guests, bringing the condo's total capacity to 4.

Kitchen & dining
The fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel KitchenAid appliances, including a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. A Keurig coffee maker stocked with Starbucks coffee capsules is ready to go each morning, and the kitchen is well-stocked with tools for cooking proper meals - blender, toaster, baking sheet, wine glasses, and barbecue utensils included. The dining table seats the group inside, or take it out to the balcony to eat with the view.

Balcony
The ocean-facing balcony is one of the standout features of this condo. Outdoor furniture and a BBQ grill make it a natural gathering spot - whether you're grilling in the evening, having your first coffee of the morning, or simply watching the light change over Catalina's palm-dotted shoreline.

Getting around
A 2020 EZGO electric golf cart is included with your stay. Avalon is best explored at a relaxed pace, and having your own cart means you can move freely around the island without the hassle of rentals or waiting. Free parking on premises and an EV charger are also available.

Practicalities
The condo has a washer, iron, clothing storage, hangers, and bed linens. The bathroom is stocked with hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and shower gel. The Hamilton Cove community has cameras in all common areas; a front door camera and patio camera are present. Please note: there is no air conditioning - ceiling fans and portable fans are available. There is no smoke alarm or carbon monoxide alarm on the property. The hot tub is part of the Hamilton Cove community's shared facilities.
